Capability Statement

What we build.

Prime Azimuth LLC is a United States small business working in radio frequency, spectrum sensing, and embedded systems. The company was formed in 2026 and is registered in SAM.gov. We are early by design: design and integration are held in-house, and specialist engineering is subcontracted per project from a network we have worked with directly.

We are candid about stage. Prime Azimuth has no completed federal prime contracts to point to. We are pursuing SBIR and STTR Phase I awards and specialist subcontract work under established primes — the routes where a small, self-funded team is the right instrument rather than a liability.

Focus areas

Model-Based Systems Engineering
Carrying requirements, architecture, and verification in a single authoritative model rather than scattered across documents, so interface changes propagate and trace from need to test.
Multi-Function Sensing
Sensing payloads that share aperture, front-end, and compute across more than one function, co-resident on platforms with hard size, weight, and power limits.
Digital Signal Processing
Real-time processing chains from converter to decision — filtering, channelisation, demodulation, detection — placed where the timing budget requires, whether FPGA fabric, DSP core, or host.
Signal Detection and Analysis
Finding and characterising emitters in dense spectrum: wideband survey, feature extraction, and direction-finding technique.
Resilient Communications
Waveform and radio work aimed at links that hold up under interference and degraded conditions.

Technical disciplines

The domains we take work in. Design and systems integration are done in-house; depth in each domain is supplied by subcontracted specialists engaged per project.

Embedded Firmware

Bare-metal and RTOS firmware, FPGA development, and low-level device drivers for hardware that has to run unattended and deterministically.

  • FPGA
  • RTOS
  • Bare-metal
  • Embedded Linux

Wireless Radios

Custom RF front-ends and software-defined radio signal pipelines, from antenna through application layer.

  • SDR
  • DSP
  • GNU Radio
  • RFNoC
  • mmWave

Mixed-Signal Hardware

Board design from concept through bring-up, including mixed-signal, power, and layout for RF-sensitive designs.

  • PCB
  • Analog
  • Power
  • Layout
  • Bring-up

Production Software

Long-lived production services and ground software, engineered to be maintained, audited, and relied upon years after delivery.

  • Rust
  • C++
  • Python
  • Linux
  • gRPC

Current work

Self-funded development, not yet public.

Prime Azimuth is developing its own systems in the focus areas above. That work is self-funded and we are not disclosing it publicly at this stage. Details can be discussed with a qualified customer or teaming partner under a non-disclosure agreement.

What we are looking for

  • SBIR and STTR Phase I topics in RF, spectrum sensing, and embedded systems.
  • Specialist subcontract scope under an established prime.
  • Teaming arrangements where a small, focused supplier is the right fit.
